Mmmm flaky pastries and coffee…. just the thought can transport you to another place. This was exactly the goal that Bergman & Co were tasked with for Rustica Bakery’s new Melbourne Central location. Amongst the hustle and bustle of busy shoppers, students, office workers and tourists, Bergman & Co have created an escape where the outside noise fades away and Rustica’s delectable offerings can be savoured in peace.
The calm haven of deliciousness was achieved through a muted colour palette, buttery leather-like vinyls, soft custom lighting and the piece de resistance: the smooth, creamy looking monolithic front counter.
The final touch of luxury was the close attention paid to the detailing and finishing of the overall project. All flat surfaces, lines and junctures were clean and precise, whilst each sharp edge was rounded off and smoothed.
